Hi there, I bought guitar hero and a guitar (for PS3) from ebay but there was no dongle included. I queried this with the seller who sad she had a First Generation PS3 which didn't need the dongle - and if I had a PS3 first generation then it will work. Otherwise, she has said I'll need to buy a dongle. read more
NOTE: Connect only one Wireless Guitar at a time. Replace the batteries. Consult Knowledge Base article 15950 for instructions on replacing the batteries. Turn on your PS3. Press the button on the bottom of the receiver (shown below) for one second to activate the connection process: Press the PS button on the body of the guitar. The PS3 or wired Xbox 360 guitars do not need any more hardware purchased to play them on a computer. However, if you have a PlayStation 2 Guitar Hero Controller and want to play it on a computer, you will need to buy a $20 PS2 to USB adapter. The wireless Xbox 360 guitar needs the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver which costs $20. read more
