Grease and preheat the cast iron skillet in a 400 degree oven. Pour the batter into the skillet and bake for 15-20 minutes. The best way to test to see if your cornbread is fully cooked is to do the old toothpick trick. read more
Best Answer: If you have an iron skillet, you can use oil to grease it, and pour in Jiffy and bake. ( I use bacon grease ) If you have just a round or square pan, just grease well and pour in Jiffy.You follow directions on box. It is really good corn bread. Hope this will help. Happy Easting.
