Google Earth 7.1.2 includes an Elevation Profile that provides elevation details at any chosen point along a path that you draw. Create a path using Earth's Path tool, and then display the Elevation Profile. Earth also displays the elevation of the location of your cursor on the map, in the lower right corner. read more
Open Google Earth and navigate to the location you want either manually by zooming in, or by searching for a location. If you searched for a location the elevation of the specific point displays at the bottom right of the window. read more
Open Google Earth Pro. Draw a path or open an existing path. Click Edit Show Elevation Profile. An elevation profile will appear in the the lower half of the 3D Viewer. If your elevation measurement reads "0," make sure the terrain layer is turned on. The Y-axis of the chart displays the elevation, and the X-axis of the chart displays the distance. read more
In this case, you can draw out the path as before, or if it is a route on roads/paths already marked on Google Earth, you can use the Get Directions feature right-click (CTRL click on Mac) on the blue line and select ‘Show Elevation Profile’. read more
