Long story short, the Cable Modem is now blinking US/DS and the outside cable which was above ground is now in-ground/under-ground. So our friendly neighborhood technician had paid a visit to do his job of sending cable in-ground and breaking my internet. read more

Anyway, I have the Comcast Modem/Router wombo combo. Was getting very sketchy service, so I decided to try and reset the device. Unplugged it for 2 minutes or so, turned it on, now it won't get past a blinking US/DS light. Looking at the info, looks like downstream has locked but upstream hasn't. read more

The power light is lit up and solid, while the us/ds light seems to blink for a minute and then shut off for a minute. Then after about a cycle every 5 minutes every light on the modem lights up for about a second and this cycle continuously repeats itself. read more
