Miniature dinosaurs ; 1 large box of baking soda (to make 8-10 eggs) A large bowl; Water; Vinegar; Food coloring (optional) Mixing the Dough. Add the baking soda to the bowl. The eggs are about 4 to 5-inches long and about 3-inches in diameter and we used an air dry method with plastic dinosaurs (and animals.) We just did this for fun, but I would expect that these "eggs" could be made in advance of a dinosaur themed party or as part of a dinosaur dig with a group of children. read more

You can create “hatching” dinosaur eggs by forming a non-edible dough around plastic dinosaur toys. Once the dough dries, you can have fun cracking the eggs open to “hatch” the toys. Small plastic dinosaurs can be found in many toy stores. read more
