How to wire multiple light switches on one circuit?

Best Answers

Connect one end of the 6-inch wire to the top terminal of the first switch. Twist the other end together with the black wire from the incoming circuit cable and the black wire from the cable going to the second switch to form a pigtail. Twist a wire cap onto the end of the pigtail. read more

If I am correct, I can do the same thing for switches. I would bring the power in one side of the gang box for the switch, take a new cable out the other side (to connect to another gang box for another switch), and pigtail them together to connect to the switch. read more

Each box is a group of lights and switches. Some are one switch and some need a 3way setup. My main problem is how do i link all the boxs so they all run off of one main circuit. Each box needs to turn off and on without affecting the other boxes but share the same main power. read more
