I had a hard time getting down with Trane early on, something I don't really understand to this day. Possibly related, I didn't feel Dylan for years and years. What's the common element? His influence stretched into classical and post modernism even more than Miles and Parker. I am absolutely a Coltrane fan all the way, but would also have to consider Stravinsky, and perhaps Copland into that mix. read more
