How would Captain Cook react to the USS Nimitz?

Since the Nimitz is at least 4 times longer and 4 times faster than any ship Captain Cook had seen, I wonder if he would think of the Nimitz as a ship at all. The only floating object that he may have observed previously is an ice berg, so he may have thought he was witnessing the disconcerting migration of some gigantic land object. read more
