If I wanted to hunt bigfoot - what gun would I use?

For a back up gun I cant think of anything but the .44 magnum (.357 seems too small, .500 is simply stupid). It won't stop a very big animal on it's own, but should be enough to finish a wounded one, with two shots or so.
