But in large doses (both inhaled and ingested), death can occur. When inhaled for an extended amount of time, the person can obviously suffocated. When ingested, the chloroform can do some serious damage to the liver. As little as 10 ml of chloroform can be fatal (although some have ingested larger quantities and survived). read more
