After WW2, the general opinion in Scandinavia and surrounding areas was that the USSR won the war, and saved us (Norway) from the Germans, with some assistance from the USA. For a few years, Norway was sympathetic towards the USSR, but the years went on and the 50's came along, with a shifting political climate. read more
The USA helped nazi war criminals and other people who were guilty of crimes in ww2, for the sole reason of using them against the USSR, the USSR were very busy in this period rebuilding their country, which had lost more than 20 million people and was devastated in general. read more
