Alcoholics Anonymous has spread a "gospel" with evangelical fervor that has little to do with reality. By itself, it isn't that terrible until you realize that this militant religiosity, coupled with obfuscation that is conveniently attributed to "anonymity" has stifled scientific inquiry. To be clear, Alcoholics Anonymous is deistic or theistic in nature. Its a mixing of psychology, counseling language, and some principles of Christianity. I have a great deal of respect for people who work though the organization. read more
