I took a dip in Ganges at both Haridwar and Rishikesh during Feb/Mar. The water was so clear and you have to hold the rails while taking a dip else someone has to pick you downstream :) it is that intense. Rishikesh was more clear and calm (you are travelling closer to the origin or ganges). read more
