IMO, Tupac was a little bit indecisive on who HE was. One minute you would hear a inspirational song (Keep Ya Head Up), then the next you would hear something violent coming out of his mouth. One minute he would be consoling women who struggled and were being called “bitches and hos”, then the next he would be describing a sexual escapade with them, calling them bitches. read more

I fucking love tupac, but I would agree that he is overrated. He didn't really have that many great tracks. The ones that were great were great, but you'd think the dude was dropping bombs for 2 decades based on the hype he gets. In reality, you might not be able to fill an entire album with his truly great songs. read more

If you are comparing and contrasting with the contemporaries of his time i suppose you have to acknowledged the importance of his lyrics. However i don't think he had a unique talent that stands the test of time. read more
