A hyena is a much larger and stronger animal than a coyote. A coyote weighs about 20kg and has a bite force of 250 psi. A spotted hyena weighs about 70kg and has a bite force of 1100 psi (2.5 times that of a wolf and a little less than a grizzly bear). read more

Coyotes live in north and central America, and Jackals live only in Africa. Coyotes are about twice the size of a jackal, and the Wolf is about two times the size of a coyote, and MUCH heavier. Coyotes are about the same as hyenas, basically opportunistic and will most likely just run. Now cane and wolves might be a toss up. Wolves are smarter by far, but canes might have more strength, hard to tell. read more
