Is Alaska in danger of being annexed by Putin?

Alaska is a State. It is protected by the constitution and it would be an act of war for Putin to attempt to annex it. As far as I can tell Putin has shown no interest in Alaska specifically. He is trying to bring the whole country down from what I read, through false information and sowing discord. read more

Alaska was a possession of the Russian Empire, sold to the United States for $7.2 million dollars. When the transaction was completed, sovereignty over the territory was transferred from Russia to the United States, and this was duly recognized by every other nation in the world. read more

Mr Putin said that Russian activities in the Arctic were aimed at restoring navigation and ensuring its security. Despite the views of some nationalists, the Kremlin has shown no intentions of retaking Alaska like it annexed Crimea in 2014. read more
