I don’t think Baku is particularly popular for Russian tourists. My guess is that this is for a number of reasons. One is that Baku probably doesn’t offer a lot of what Russian visitors are looking for on holiday. read more

Baku is underrated tourist destination, not because of it is a bad city, but because of we have complicated visa system and it is expensive. We could have attracted many tourists, if we had a visa free regime to many (specially West) countries and if we had a lot of cheap hostels like in Tiblisi. read more
