Belize is a Latin American nation. It is known as the bridge between Latin America and the Caribbean. Even though English is the official language of Belize it is learned in school. I think Belize is considered Caribbean by choice and by its history. Unlike most of Central America, Belize was a British Colony and formed its trade ties and alliances with the British Caribbean islands rather than the Spanish-speaking and French-speaking countries that surround it in Central America. read more
