Is Borneo a dangerous place for tourists?

Borneo is generally very safe for travellers of both sexes, but in villages and logging camps things can get dodgy when alcohol enters the picture. Major cities in Peru have very nice areas, as well as places a tourist should not enter, as occurs in New York, London and most major cities.
