Is Brisbane, QLD a nice place to live?

So most people you encounter, no matter where you are in the city, will at the very least be polite, if not outright (even aggressively) friendly. It's a very safe place to live and work, although that doesn't mean it's trouble free, I would simply feel a bit safe walking the streets of Brisbane than I would the streets of London. read more

Brisbane can be a nice place to live but it depends on what you are looking for. I have lived in Brisbane on and off (mainly on) since 1984. I have also lived in Canberra and country NSW so I do have something to compare it to, I have travelled to most part of Australia. Brisbane is not as big as Sydney and Melbourne. You will not get as many shops. read more

Yeronga is a great suburb on the river. It has Tennyson and Fairfield on either side which are good suburbs and Annerley across which has a good edge to it. Very close to Southbank and West End. read more
