As long as the water is lives in isn't extremely polluted, catfish are perfectly safe and very tasty. I've found that smaller cats-fourteen to eighteen inches-have the best flavor. Unlike most other fish, catfish have to be skinned before eating, and beware off the sharp spines at the ends of their fins. read more
