Is Chesterfield considered a northern or midlands town?

He insists its an East Midlands town. Now, I'm aware it is almost smack bang in the middle of the country and several authorities, health services etc are provided by East Midlands branches. John Harris’s comment about where the TV news comes from is only partly correct. It is quite possible to tune into the Midlands news . I am able to get both Yorkshire and Midlands TV. Geographically we are considered to be in the Midlands. But so is Birmingham, and we have nothing in common with that city. read more
