Is Chevron or Shell gas better for a BMW?

Shell is the official gas recommended by BMW. However, I'm highly inclined to say that the difference in recommendation is more about marketing dollars spent than any difference in performance. Different brands have different proprietary additives, but it hasn't been shown that any are superior. read more

However that refinery also sells gasoline that is not needed by the nearby Exxon brand gas stations to wholesalers and they then sell it to any station willing to buy it from them at the price they offer it for sale. read more
