Yes, cremation is empty is the sense of afterlife. Ash isn’t sufficient in my opinion. Good idea but not sufficient. I can imagine a non-empty death ritual - making digital copy of DNA - ideally even while alive which is backed- up many times and making memorial stones with integrated data crystals which include the digitalized DNA. read more
