Yes, definitely. The standard of living in the poorest areas of Croatia are on par with the wealthiest areas of Serbia. In Belgrade you are doing okay if you make 500–600 euros a month, in Croatia its 700–800€, and you can easily make 1000€ or more in Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, Istria… And thats without tourism and renting. read more

Former Yugoslav countries, both have are Slavic nations and both are Christians (Croats are Catholics and Serbs are Orthodox). Both countries were highly involved in conflicts in Balkans in 1990s. Both are democratises. So, to be honest, I don’t see any factor that would make one of this country’s reputation better or worse than other’s. read more
