No,Nowadays,Autocratic govt. is not possible in India.India has strong civil society(Media,Press and NGOs) and independent judiciary.That keeps checks and balance.There are many instances when SC has struck down govt. act and decision.Ex:President rule in Uttarakhand,NJAC and so on. read more
