Is Detroit a dump to live in?

That said, I love Detroit. I have lived in Scottsdale AZ the past three years, and minus some of the weather, I miss Detroit. I lived in the Eastern Market for a while, which wasn't posh, but wasn't a complete wreck either. But I was close to some wrecked neighborhoods, that looked like they were literally bombed. Detroit is an extremely segmented city and it is only exacerbated by the lack of transportation for people, be that either public or reliable roads and personal vehicles. For people who have a fulltime job, Detroit is a pretty good place to be. read more
