e-KYC (finger print) is currently only available if you buy the Sim from the same state to which your aadhar card belongs. This is as per the rules set by TRAI. But paper CAF (Customer Acquisition Form) option is always available everywhere. read more
Update: We are now told that you would be getting a SIM card only if you have Aadhaar Card, which seems like a proper proof for Reliance to provide the Jio SIM cards. Also, here the picture of the fingerprint sensor attached to the smartphone. read more
