All rights are absolute in the sense that they are rights or they are not. If they were qualified or constrained, they would instead be privileges. Whether or not the law recognizes my right to free speech is a different matter. My human rights are higher than society's laws. read more

It is not an absolute right. Freedom of speech is a limited conventional right. What this means is that there are some situations where the right can be restricted.
