Is Germany friendly for Autistic children?

As Applied Behavior Analysis is the only evidence-based treatment for autism and as their are only 16 Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) in Germany, and few in any major cities, I would have to say that I wouldn't want to raise a child with ASD in Germany, for obvious reasons. read more

I just got back from Mannheim Germany a year ago. My son has High Functiong Autism w/ Sensory Integrartion disorder prone to violent behavior. Now the elementary school hadn't seen a child as severely behaved as my son. Doctors chose not to medicate and I am glad. He ended up in a class by himself with one teacher Mrs Leandra Smith. read more
