Ancient Greece did impact European culture but as well as the Middle East (thanks to our guy Alexander the Great.) Hellenism is not only Greek influence but as well as a little bit of Arabic. Modern music and dance of Greece falls under the Arabic/Hellenic community as a whole. read more

Greek East and Latin West are terms used to distinguish between the two parts of the Greco-Roman world, specifically the eastern regions where Greek was the lingua franca (Anatolia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East) and the western parts where Latin filled this role (Central and Western Europe). read more
