It really depends on the aims of the gymnast. Most non competitive (recreative) gymnasts practice twice a week for 90 minutes. Usually, half of the lesson is dedicated to warm-up, cardio, stretching and body building, the other half is dedicated to the apparatuses. read more
But otherwise, as a coach, I can tell you that you learn NOTHING if you do just 50 mins a week. It’s simply not enough given the amount of actual gymnastics you get to do in 50 mins, it’s nothing. read more
Typical adult gymnastics courses are articulated in two lessons per week each of 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and a half. That is the same as kids recreative gymnastics courses, since adult courses are recreative gymnastics. read more
