But they still have babies (France is one of the only countries in Europe that has a positive natural growth rate). In my experience, only the most traditionalist religious families (Christians or Muslims) will frown upon a couple who have a baby while they aren't married. But, IMHO, those people opinion is not worth considering anyway. read more
Of course, that's not the same as having non-spousal partners and the women each have only one male partner. My point is just that different groups arrive at different customs for a long list of historic reasons. Truly open marriages have never caught on for a large group, at least not officially. My guess is financial stability in later years. read more
well, it's against God to have sex before marriage, but in today's society, i don't think it's frowned upon. i know i wouldn't frown upon anyone. read more
