Is ibuprofen or paracetamol better for menstrual pain?

Best Answers

Ibuprofen is better, the menstrual pain is due to endometrial inflammation. So basically the paracetamol can help to release the pain slightly but not to fight the cause. Try to take ibuprofen or mefenamic acid 2 days before your period to prevent any menstrual pain. read more

I think ibuprofen works better for me, paracetamol does to but I find that isnt as fast acting. When I was younger and used to get really bad cramps Id take two paracetamol and one ibuprofen together which I found worked very well for that (might sound a bit dodgy but my doctor said it was fine). read more
