Is it better to be homeless or in prison?

Being homeless isn't much better but, a homeless person has one thing that an inmate doesn't: Their freedom. To me that is the biggest difference. The homeless person has to find their own shelter but one who has been on the street long enough knows the tricks. read more

When we pump so many resources for the well-being of criminals while there are still people freezing to death in the streets, it makes prison seem like a better place. It may be prison, but it provides the basic necessities and some comforts. As mentioned above, it can force homeless people to commit crimes simply so they can be taken care of. read more
