Is it fair that they call Eritrea the North Korea of Africa?

In that Eritrea is a rigidly isolationist, dctatorial militaristic country that has had at least clashes, occasionally full-scale wars, with all of its neighbours, this following a protracted and brutal war of independence, North Korea does not at all sound like a bad analogy. read more

The question should also matter to the rest of the world, given Eritrea’s serious contribution to the global refugee crisis, as seen through the continued flight of 5,000 Eritreans monthly from their homeland, many of whom are heading north to Europe. read more
