If you look at India in Aurangzeb’s time, most of South India is in fact part of the Mughal Empire. All of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, northern Tamil Nadu. What is left is basically Kerala and southern Tamil Nadu. In the case of the Mughals, I’d say they were getting there but were interrupted. read more
