Is it necessary to use dish soap when hand-washing dishes?

what else are you using? Some sort of soap is needed…and although hand soap might be ok in an emergency, dish soap that is made for that purpose…is best. I can't imagine “washing dishes” without soap. Do you shower with just water? read more

To save on soap, I keep a lotion-style bottle on the screen as well as a spray bottle. Both are filled with a very diluted solution of dish soap and water (just as you would the dishmatic things).
