My experience is primarily with ski boots but I did board for 10 years. I used Sorels with my ski boot liner shoved in them. They worked, I could board comfortably but I was never comfortable on anything above intermediate runs. Some will say it's okay to have loose snow board boots but those people are beginners themselves. You will limit your skill and abilities if you take the advice of beginners. While my ski boot lining in Sorels worked, I knew it was a poor substitute for proper snow board boots. read more
Just remember, the boots are the first thing connecting you to your board and the only part that touches your body, that makes them the most important part of your setup. Make sure they are comfortable and fit securely. A poorly fitted, uncomfortable boot will make riding much less enjoyable. Good luck. read more
Buying boots that are a little snug is a good idea because boots tend to loosen with time and can open up some space after a while. Too much space, however, is a bad thing and will have negative effects on your heel hold. read more
