We´ve got tons of amber fossils from the Cretaceous. It is one of the things that I would really love to see being discovered - be it 2018, or 2060. That discovery would advance our understanding of pterosaurs by a lot. I think that it is even possible that it has already been discovered, but simply not by scientists. read more

There is no greater evidence possible than the actual specimen of mummified pterosaur remains in Cretaceous amber. Anyone interested is encouraged to attempt to refute its authenticity. Amber also comes from many parts of Asia (what is called Chinese amber is a pale color to a red and heavily crazed).
