Is it possible to make a soda that can use O2 instead of CO2?

Can you drive enough o2 into water to make it bubble. Probably with high enough pressure, although I leave it to the reader to determine that pressure. One of the advantages that co2 has is that it reacts with the water to form h2co3, carbonic acid. read more

Instead Krell47 is interested in the total dissolved CO2 content (which in a sense is asking how far from equilibrium can you push the system). This can change dramatically with the CO2 pressure applied at bottling time. If you want a soda with more CO2, all you have to do is dissolve in more CO2 by increasing its partial pressure at bottling time. read more
