Is it possible to make sprouts mung beans in summer?

Thanks for the A2A. Moong beans do not produce a lot of smell while sprouting, when compared to Garbanzo beans (chickpeas) etc. I usually soak them fully in water, in the morning. When I'm back home in the evening, I strain and cover them overnight with a cheese cloth (or any thin cotton cloth will do) to keep them moist. read more

Sprouts would smell if you've kept the sprouting beans in a closed container. You've to let the gases produced by sprouting beans escape, if you wish to avoid this. It is better to use a porous container (colander or strainer) lined with a wet cloth for the sprouts. read more
