Yes , it's always possible to visit Alaska. In December since the tourist traffic is very less ferry are either shutdown or very less in number. But you can fly into Alaska any time of the year. Off course it's very very cold but still there are a lot of things to do in Alaska in winter also. read more

Alaska in December is great! Alaska in an RV in December is horrible! As a point, it's how we make quite a good business - and in mid-April, not December. There is in this part of Alaska a large (enormous) event, called "Arctic Man", the second weekend of April. About 14-16,000 RV-ers spend a five-six day long weekend here with their snowmachines. read more
