Uh… they do have solar panels. At least some do. Before I got my Tesla Roadster, I had a Prius with solar panels, and they work beautifully to run the ventilation system when the car is parked in the hot sun. read more

At this week's annual International CES technology convention in Las Vegas, Ford will unveil a concept car that is actually powered by solar panels on the roof of its C-Max Energi plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (EV).
