The reason for the expiry is due to the fact that once it passes that date the vitamins and minerals in it start to break down making it not as nutritious to baby. So while it may be "safe" to use they may not be getting everything they need resulting in it really not being so safe. The cans for January should be good till the end of the month. read more

Deterrants help some dogs. Your local pet store probably sells a bitter apple spray that you can use on most furniture and painted things. Tabasco sauce is good for things that won't stain (or that you don't care about staining). Cayenne pepper is good on carpeting (dark colored carpeting at least), if he chews that. read more
