Is it safe to feed my lizard mealworms that have turned white?

Yes, the “white” mealworms are pupae and they will not harm your lizard. It should be safe to feed the lizard the adult beetles when they emerge as well. read more

Your Meal worms have reached the next stage of becoming a beetle. They will soon go a brown which will mean they hatch soon after. My advice is to discard the container of meal worms and get a new pack. The white worms won't harm your Bearded Dragon, because the Beardie won't eat it. read more

Easy to raise your own. If you don't want beetles, keep the mealies in the fridge until 24 hours before using them for food. This way they have a chance to eat before being fed to the lizard. Superworms are NOT mealworms, and they do not turn into beetles unless separated from each other into individual cups and allowed to morph. read more
