Lamborghini was purchased by Volkswagen AG and is currently under Audi. This has been helpful for both sides as the flagship models of the company Huracan and R8 share similar engine and transmission. read more
The V12 engines of Lamborghini used in Aventador and the Murcielago were designed and manufactured by Lamborghini but the recent 5.2 V10 7 speed DSG drivetrain is developed by Volkswagen AG. The engine is designed in Germany, partly made in Hungary and fully assembled in Italy. read more
Lamborghini was always Italian but had different owners, first 2 swiss guys bought them arround 1972 (Rosetti and Leimer) then they went bankrupt (around 1979) then the Mimran family (my Countach QV was the car of Patrick Mimran) first leased and then bought the factory from the government. read more
