Is it true that only Americans are accepted into NASA?

The way the slightly ambiguous question is asked, yes. NASA only directly employs US citizen. NASA indirectly employs a considerably larger number of contractors and subcontractors (I started as such) onsite as well as off site these days. The problem word is “accepted into”. read more

All permanent NASA employees are employees of the US federal government, and thus must be United States citizens. There is a NASA International Internship program, however the only countries currently participating in that are Mexico, Trinidad, and Tobago. JPL has an Independent Student Internship position that does allow US permanent residents. read more
