My advice: Work in journalism for at least two years before pursing a graduate degree in the field. You'll learn a lot on the job. If you decide to pursue the advanced degree, you'll get a lot more out of it if you have that working experience to build upon. read more
With that said, I wouldn’t say it’s worth it if it’s going to put you deep into debt. If you receive scholarships or assistantships, then it can possibly be worth it if journalism is what you want to pursue. But just keep in mind that the return on investment for a journalism degree isn’t as high as, say, an MBA. read more
