Is it worthwhile leaving a kid in daycare?

If you’re going to a job, then chances are it is going to be worthwhile to send your child to daycare. You should either be making more money than the daycare costs by enough to justify the time away from your kids, or count breaking even or a loss as an investment into a career that will allow you to better care for your family in the future. read more

Kids like to hang out with other kids and a couple of hours in a safe and trusted daycare for fun and structure and a chance to play without a helicopter hovering is good for many kids. It also allows kids to learn that other adults can be trusted and loved, not just mom and dad. read more

My issue is that i just have an uneasy feeling. DH feels the same way. And no it is not just mom jitters. I have an older child who was in a home daycare that i was very happy with. We can no longer use her though as we moved. My issue with this daycare is that the older kids look bored. read more
